Modules (Utility scale – Turn key stations)

Large-scale energy storage projects for grid operators, energy developers, and major industrial parties. Proven technology, scalable to any project size.

Challenges & Opportunities

Investors and banks want to see proven technology before they finance, you need a supplier that's on that list.

Your wind and solar farms don't always generate at the moment demand is high; storage is the missing link.

You want to realise a large energy project, but the grid lacks sufficient capacity, and you're looking for a partner who can solve that.

Introduction

A utility system is a large battery installation that stores energy when there is a surplus, for example from a wind farm, and delivers that energy when demand is high or the grid requires it. This stabilises the grid and makes large energy projects financially viable.

Amperix supplies these systems from CRRC, one of the largest energy technology companies in the world. CRRC has over 45,000 MWh of storage capacity in operation worldwide and was recognised by BloombergNEF in 2024 as a Tier 1 supplier. That means banks and investors trust the technology and that makes your project financeable.

Amperix supplies these systems to resellers and project partners, including system design, technical pre-sales advice, and warranty service.

Your project becomes financeable

Banks and investors are increasingly placing requirements on the supplier of battery systems. CRRC meets those requirements, accelerating financing and reducing risk for all parties.

Lower costs over the full lifetime

The systems are rated for more than 8,000 charge cycles and monitor themselves remotely via smart software. That means fewer failures, less maintenance, and lower costs per stored kilowatt-hour.

Any project size is possible

Whether it’s a single container or an installation of hundreds of megawatt-hours, the systems are modular and scalable. You start with what you need and expand as the project grows.

Veel gestelde vragen

Can I expand the system later?
Yes. The systems are modularly built. You start with the capacity you need now and expand as your consumption or charging demand grows.
How large can an installation become?
Containers of 3 to 7 MWh can be placed side by side and interconnected. This allows you to build installations ranging from tens to hundreds of megawatt-hours, depending on the site and project.
Do investors and banks accept CRRC as a supplier?
Yes. CRRC is listed on BloombergNEF's Tier 1 list, an international list of suppliers whose financial stability and technological performance have been recognised. This makes it easier to secure project financing.
